Alyson is still in ICU. Her step down unit will be Respiratory Care Unit so still no flowers.

She does love having the electronic cards read to her and asked for them to be hung on

the walls around her room so please keep sending them. Alyson is not really using her

cell phone so if you have a message for her please send a greeting card or leave a

comment here and we’ll read it to her.

Please pray for clear lungs and continued prayers for her diaphragm to heal. As the

Trauma ICU nurse said to me today, she’ll take 2 steps forward and 1 step back, but do

not get discouraged.

And yes, from our experience in the ICU, it’s two steps forward one step back, but that’s

still moving forward! Try not to get discouraged, but if you do, it’s okay to let it out!!

Al pal

I miss you terribly.

Two things

1. I made Jacob try this Halloween flavored candy (vampire Hershey kisses)

He was all “I don’t eat candy” and I said “do it for the sake of fall” so he finally did.

He was appalled and very dramatic. Threw his arms up, said i tricked and said Alyson

would be very proud

2. Shaun sent an email from my computer to Jacob. Told him I clogged the CSU toilet and was trying to get it unclogged and would add more fiber to my diet. Jacob had the

audacity to think that I actually clogged the bathroom and had sent him a real email

about it

I’m thinking about you daily and sending all my love. You got this. Even when you feel

like you don’t, we’ll be here to cheer you on 💜
