It was a double Starbuck's Medicine Ball kind of morning. I got Alyson one with her gift
cards (Thank you Ammie and Abby!) and then it's all in who ya know. Alyson's friend/coworker
Stephanie H. (in Nashville) had her sister here in Chicago delivery one.
Alyson said, "they worked me to death" today. She got to use their new electronic
stimulation machine (I called her the bionic woman 🤣) and when asked how many times
she practiced standing up from her wheelchair she said "so many". It made her quads
and calves feel like jello afterwards. She also walked for 2 hours on the treadmill with a
harness, on the track with a hardness and walker, and she walked by herself between
two bars with no harness, wearing her new snazzy leg splints.
Alyson can now wiggle the big toe on her right foot so we are up to 2 toes!!
Today the Ft Lauderdale hospital Alyson had her surgeries at posted a story about her on
their social media. Dr. Robert’s said that she had less than a 1% chance of walking again
with her injury. God is great and performing miracles with Alyson’s recovery!
This Friday windy rainy Chicago night calls for some Portillo’s and a Hallmark Christmas
movie with Alyson. 🎄
