Alyson is having a little more neck pain now that her little neck needs to hold up her big

noggin all by itself. 😁🤣. She’s also having to gain some movement back after being in a

brace for 5 weeks.

In therapy today she practiced getting in and out of cars, beat her 6 minute distance test

in the wheelchair from last time, passed her balance test, worked on shower transfers,

and walked on her own with a standing walker.

Thank God for her Care Manager, Anna! She’s making doctor appointments for Alyson

back in Nashville after discharge, and there are a lot of specialists. She’s sending

referrals for rehab after Thanksgiving, coordinating equipment needs, etc. She talked to

Vanderbilt today and they are looking into availability there. Alyson is on the schedule

for Frazier in Louisville starting 11/29, if Vandy doesn’t work. At this time we do not know

if Vandy is a good fit as far as their therapy program to keep her moving forward, even

though the location is desirable.
