We hope everyone had a Merry Christmas with family and/or friends! To bring you up to
date, last week Tuesday Alyson got to ride the FES bike 12:16 minutes / 1.36 miles. Woo
hoo! She did good with working 3 days last week, didn't seem as tired as I expected her
to be. Not saying she wasn't tired, because she was.
Last Thursday, 12/23, we were fortunate to attend the Titan's vs 49'ers football game,
courtesy of The Bridge ministry. We traded in our tickets for handicap seating and ran
into Alyson's friend Ely and his family and friends. For those who do not know Ely, he
had a complete C7 fracture Summer 2020 so him and his family have been wonderful
support to us.
Today started another week of work (4 days), no OT/PT because it's a holiday for Vandy,
but Alyson did have a wound doctor appointment bright and early for her right heel
blisters that don’t want to heal. They didn’t think it was that bad, compared to what they
usually see, and she has some special treatment to do every other day until it heals. The
left heel has thankfully healed up nicely. Another lesson learned, with a SCI her feet are
swollen so she needs to be wearing shoes that are usually too big for her, instead of
trying to cram her feet into her regular shoes.

And not let her friends try to cram her feet into her slippers… 😬 Sorry again about that
Alyson!

I love the photo taken at the football game. So happy to know you have support.
