On Monday Alyson had her 1 hour joint PT/OT session where she was supposed to work
on walking. Unfortunately her blood pressure had other plans. It was high the entire
time, which then landed her in the ER where they determined her high BP is being
caused by a UTI. Since standing usually lowers her BP she did get lots of practice
standing and sitting. š.
Today Alyson did not initially take her BP medication that increases her BP for the
morning since it was already a little elevated. During her hot shower her BP dropped.
What a roller coaster! She took 1/3 the dose of her medication that increases her BP
which seemed to do the trick for the rest of the day. Alyson successfully completed 2
hours of OT and PT sessions this afternoon and has been sleeping since she got home. I
guess they wore her out. š“
