My Return to Broward

At the end of last month, I went to Miami to visit Meg for her birthday and was able to meet up with my neurosurgeon, who performed my two surgeries that stabilized my neck. Although I still have a long ways to go, I have also come SO far since the last time I saw him and being able to show him my progress was awesome. He took me back to the ICU where one of the nurses remembered me and even remembered what room I was in (I don't remember much of the ICU haha). I will never forget when I was first able to move my left leg, my mom ran into Dr. Roberts at the Starbucks in the hospital and told him about it. He made it up to my room in the RCU and told me to show him what I could do. When I moved my leg he said "Holy shit, you're going to walk again" with a stunned look on his face. Although I can't walk by myself and rely on assistive devices to get around, the fact of the matter is that I CAN walk, which I am forever grateful for. See the story that Broward ran on me below and as always, thank you for your love, support, and cheers that y'all continue to give me :)
